Layer by layer

Outside. Inside.
2025, Galerie M in Potsdam, used household textiles, warp thread, 155 x 300 cm

My home is my work, is my family and friends.
My home is my refuge, like a warm, soft, protective blanket I can wrap myself up in.
Next to caves, carpets are primal forms of human shelter.
I weave white, used household textiles into a carpet. It hangs from the ceiling to the floor, becoming a wall, a room divider or partition. It tells stories of places I yearn for, of whites, of expansive spaces of possibility.
Where is outside? Where is inside? The spaces permeate one another.
